Promoting Faith, Kindness, and Character One Story at a Time
Meet Crystal Hirschi
Crystal is an author, philanthropist, and proud mother and grandmother from Las Vegas, Nevada. She married her high school sweetheart, Chad Hirschi, in 1996, and together they have three children, all of whom are now grown with families of their own.
Crystal began writing stories years ago when her children were young to help teach them simple, valuable lessons through creativity and imagination. She always emphasized the importance of kindness in her stories, believing that “kindness is a priceless gift that multiplies.”
Now Crystal’s aim is to bring as much goodness into the world as possible, both through her writing and her charity work, much of which aims to bring access to education and literacy to children all over the world.

A short introduction from Crystal will replace this portrait once it has been recorded.

Meet the Illustrator
Michelle Clayton
Michelle grew up in the rolling green hills of the San Francisco Bay Area. Some of her earliest memories include drawing, painting, and writing her own picture books, so she is now thrilled to join Crystal Hirschi in bringing these beautiful stories to life with her beautiful acrylic paintings.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Brigham Young University. She is married to a wonderful husband and is the mother of three precocious little girls.
Message from the Author
“Kindness is Free”
I’ve spent much of my professional career dedicated to large-scale philanthropy work which has been a source of much joy in my life. I see a lot of funds and donations go toward helping people who are truly in need, and it is remarkable to see people’s generosity transform the lives of others in real time. I believe that kindness has the power to be equally transformative without costing a dime.
Childhood is the perfect time to show your children how powerful it is to be kind to others. The kindness of one child who notices a peer eating alone and asks to be their friend can make a huge change in that peer’s life—and that sort of kindness is contagious.
My books are firmly rooted in this philosophy, because I love nothing more than watching children discover that power for themselves. If you are an educator in Nevada, I would be delighted to come to your school for a reading to share this gift with you as well.
